About the Film
Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu directs Tom Cruise in a film billed as a comedy of catastrophic proportions, a description that tells you almost nothing and everything at once. Inarritu, the filmmaker behind Birdman, The Revenant, and Amores Perros, has spent his career making some of the most technically ambitious and emotionally punishing films of the last two decades. Now he is doing comedy, with Tom Cruise, and no one quite knows what that means yet.
